StayXchange is a student housing support and coordination platform focused on international and exchange students in Buenos Aires.
StayXchange helps students discover student-friendly housing options, share their housing preferences, receive general coordination support, connect with potential roommates when possible, and access selected student benefits through partner businesses.
StayXchange does not own, lease, operate, manage, or control the accommodations listed or shared through the platform.
All accommodation is provided by third-party landlords, property owners, managers, administrators, agents, or authorized representatives.
Unless expressly stated in writing, StayXchange does not act as a licensed real estate broker, real estate agent, property manager, legal representative, attorney, guarantor, escrow agent, travel agency, payment processor, or fiduciary.
StayXchange does not represent the student, landlord, property owner, manager, agent, administrator, or accommodation provider in any legal, brokerage, agency, or fiduciary capacity.
StayXchange’s role is limited to providing student-oriented information, coordination support, communication assistance, and tools that may help students connect with third-party accommodation providers and other students.
All rental agreements, reservations, payments, deposits, refunds, cancellations, repairs, maintenance matters, property obligations, and rental disputes are handled directly between the student and the relevant third-party accommodation provider, unless expressly stated otherwise in writing.
StayXchange acts as an intermediary support platform between students and third-party accommodation providers.
StayXchange does not guarantee the condition, legal status, availability, safety, suitability, price, performance, or accuracy of any accommodation or third-party provider.
StayXchange may help students understand general rental information, booking steps, and communication with the relevant property contact, but the final decision to book, sign, pay, or move into any accommodation is the student’s responsibility.
Students should carefully review each listing, ask questions, confirm all material details, and make sure they understand the relevant payment and rental conditions before making any commitment.
Property listings, photos, videos, descriptions, prices, amenities, availability, house rules, utility inclusions, and rental conditions are based on information provided by third-party accommodation providers and/or information available to StayXchange at the time of publication.
StayXchange reviews and curates listings based on available information, prior experience, student suitability, location, rental conditions, and communication with the relevant property contact. Some properties may have hosted previous exchange students, which may provide additional feedback.
However, StayXchange does not guarantee that all information will always be complete, current, error-free, or unchanged. Prices, availability, rental terms, included services, utility conditions, and payment methods may change before a booking is confirmed.
Students should confirm all important details before making a reservation, signing an agreement, or making any payment.
StayXchange does not guarantee the physical condition, legal status, safety, suitability, availability, or performance of any accommodation or third-party provider.
StayXchange may review apartments before offering them to students by checking available property details, photos, location, amenities, rental conditions, student suitability, and communication with the relevant property owner, manager, agent, administrator, or local representative.
When needed, StayXchange may request updated photos, videos, additional information, or clarification from the property contact.
This review process is intended to help students make a more informed decision. It does not mean that every property has been physically inspected before each rental period, and it does not constitute a guarantee, certification, legal verification, technical inspection, or safety inspection.
Students remain responsible for reviewing the listing carefully, asking questions, and confirming the specific rental terms before booking.
Rental agreements are entered into directly between the student and the relevant landlord, property owner, manager, agent, administrator, or authorized representative. StayXchange is not a party to those agreements.
StayXchange may help students understand the main practical terms of a rental arrangement, such as rental dates, rent amount, deposit, reservation fee, utilities, house rules, payment timing, and booking steps. This support is provided for general coordination and informational purposes only.
StayXchange does not provide legal advice, does not approve, certify, or guarantee rental agreements, does not guarantee the enforceability or fairness of any contract, and does not replace independent legal advice.
Students are responsible for reading all rental documents carefully, asking questions, and obtaining independent legal advice if they consider it necessary before signing or making payments.
StayXchange does not currently process, collect, hold, safeguard, escrow, transfer, or disburse rent payments, deposits, reservation fees, utility payments, or any other accommodation-related funds, unless expressly stated otherwise in writing for a specific service.
Payments are usually made directly between the student and the landlord, property owner, property manager, agent, administrator, or authorized representative according to the terms of the specific property.
StayXchange may help clarify payment information provided by the accommodation provider, such as amount, timing, method, recipient, and stated refund conditions. However, StayXchange is not responsible for payment processing, exchange rates, transfer delays, bank fees, cash handling, third-party fraud, refund decisions, deposit returns, or disputes related to payments made directly to third-party providers.
Students are responsible for verifying payment instructions, recipient identity, payment terms, refund conditions, and the risks of any payment method before making any payment.
Cancellation, refund, modification, replacement-tenant, and early-termination rules depend on the specific property, accommodation provider, reservation terms, rental agreement, payment timing, and applicable law.
StayXchange does not decide whether a rent payment, deposit, reservation fee, or other accommodation-related amount is refundable unless StayXchange has expressly collected such amount under a specific written arrangement.
If a student’s plans change, StayXchange may try to assist by communicating with the relevant property contact or checking whether a replacement student may be available. However, StayXchange cannot guarantee refunds, cancellation approval, replacement tenants, date changes, alternative accommodation, or any specific outcome.
Students should confirm cancellation and refund terms before making any payment or signing any agreement.
StayXchange may help students connect with other international or exchange students who express interest in similar housing options, budgets, dates, universities, or lifestyle preferences.
Roommate matching is provided as an optional support service and is not guaranteed. Compatibility, availability, timing, group formation, and final housing decisions depend on the students involved and the availability of suitable properties.
StayXchange does not guarantee the conduct, reliability, financial capacity, compatibility, personal behavior, payment behavior, or future decisions of any student or roommate.
Students are responsible for deciding whether to live with other students and for agreeing directly among themselves on shared housing arrangements, payment responsibilities, house rules, cleaning, damages, guest policies, and related obligations.
If one student cancels, fails to pay, changes plans, or creates conflict within a group, StayXchange may try to assist with communication or replacement options, but cannot guarantee a solution.
The landlord, property owner, property manager, administrator, agent, or accommodation provider is responsible for the property, maintenance, repairs, utilities, building conditions, deposit handling, and compliance with the rental agreement.
StayXchange may assist students in communicating questions or issues to the relevant property contact. However, StayXchange does not control the property, does not perform repairs, does not manage maintenance, and is not responsible for the acts, omissions, delays, decisions, or performance of any third-party accommodation provider.
Students should report property issues promptly to the relevant property contact and follow the procedures stated in the rental agreement or instructions provided by the accommodation provider.
Students are responsible for:
providing accurate and complete information;
reviewing all listing details and rental terms before booking;
confirming dates, prices, payment methods, deposit conditions, utility inclusions, and included services;
reading and understanding any rental agreement before signing;
asking questions before making any payment or commitment;
complying with house rules, building rules, local laws, and the terms agreed with the property provider;
respecting roommates, neighbors, property providers, partner businesses, and the StayXchange community;
paying any amounts owed directly to the relevant provider;
maintaining appropriate travel, health, personal property, or liability insurance if desired.
StayXchange may refuse, suspend, or discontinue support to users who provide false information, behave abusively, misuse the platform, violate property rules, create risk for other students or providers, or act in a way that harms the StayXchange community.
StayXchange may collaborate with local businesses, restaurants, cafés, gyms, bars, venues, service providers, or other partners to offer discounts, benefits, recommendations, or promotions to students.
Partner benefits are provided by independent third-party businesses. StayXchange does not own, operate, manage, control, or guarantee the products, services, prices, quality, availability, safety, opening hours, discount application, or conduct of any partner business.
Partner offers may change, expire, be suspended, or be withdrawn at any time. Some benefits may be subject to verification, availability, partner rules, purchase conditions, or other limitations.
StayXchange is not responsible for disputes, injuries, losses, service issues, billing issues, food or beverage quality, gym or venue conditions, or any other matter arising from a student’s interaction with a partner business.
The StayXchange Student Card and partner benefits may be subject to eligibility requirements, approval, expiration dates, partner participation, and verification procedures.
StayXchange may approve, reject, suspend, or cancel a Student Card in cases of incomplete information, suspected misuse, expired eligibility, false information, duplicate applications, violation of these Terms, or any behavior that may harm StayXchange, students, partners, or the community.
Student Card benefits are personal and may not be transferred, sold, copied, altered, shared, or misused. Partner businesses may request verification before applying a discount or benefit.
StayXchange does not guarantee that every partner will accept the card at all times or that every discount will be available in every circumstance.
StayXchange may organize, promote, or share information about student events, community activities, meetups, social gatherings, discounts, or partner experiences.
Participation in any activity is voluntary and at the student’s own discretion. Students are responsible for their own safety, conduct, transportation, personal belongings, health, and compliance with local laws and venue rules.
StayXchange is not responsible for injuries, losses, damages, cancellations, third-party conduct, venue conditions, weather, transportation issues, or any other matter arising from participation in events or activities, except where liability cannot be excluded under applicable law.
By using StayXchange, submitting a form, contacting StayXchange through WhatsApp, email, website forms, social media, or applying for the Student Card, users may provide personal data such as name, contact details, university, housing preferences, budget, rental dates, documents, photos, or other information.
StayXchange uses this information to respond to inquiries, provide student housing coordination support, operate the Student Card, communicate with students, improve services, and connect users with relevant third-party providers, partners, or students when necessary for the requested service.
StayXchange may share limited relevant information with property contacts, potential roommates, partner businesses, or service providers where reasonably necessary to provide the requested service.
Users should not submit information they do not want StayXchange to process for these purposes.
Users may submit information, messages, documents, photos, preferences, reviews, testimonials, or other content through StayXchange forms, WhatsApp, email, social media, or other communication channels.
Users confirm that the information they provide is accurate and that they have the right to share it.
By submitting content to StayXchange, users authorize StayXchange to use that content as reasonably necessary to provide the requested service, communicate with relevant providers, process Student Card applications, improve the platform, respond to inquiries, and coordinate housing or student-related support.
Public use of student testimonials, photos, videos, reviews, or identifiable content will be subject to the consent provided by the user or as otherwise permitted by applicable law.
All StayXchange content, branding, logos, website design, text, images, graphics, platform structure, property presentation format, guides, blog content, and related materials are owned by or licensed to StayXchange, unless otherwise stated.
Users may not copy, reproduce, distribute, modify, scrape, republish, sell, or use StayXchange content for commercial purposes without prior written permission.
Nothing in these Terms grants users ownership rights in StayXchange’s intellectual property.
The StayXchange website may contain links to third-party websites, forms, payment providers, social media platforms, Google Maps, WhatsApp, partner websites, property-related materials, or other external services.
StayXchange is not responsible for the content, accuracy, privacy practices, security, availability, policies, or conduct of third-party websites or services.
Users access third-party services at their own discretion and should review the applicable terms and privacy policies of those services.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, StayXchange is not liable for damages, losses, claims, costs, injuries, delays, cancellations, payment disputes, deposit disputes, property defects, theft, personal conduct, roommate conflicts, third-party service failures, inaccurate third-party information, or any other issue arising from the acts, omissions, information, services, products, properties, or conduct of third-party providers, other users, roommates, partners, or external platforms.
Nothing in these Terms is intended to exclude, restrict, or limit any rights that cannot be excluded, restricted, or limited under applicable consumer protection laws or other mandatory legal rules.
StayXchange does not guarantee that a student will find housing, secure a specific apartment, obtain a specific price, receive a discount, form a roommate group, receive a refund, obtain a replacement tenant, or have any particular issue resolved.
StayXchange may provide support and coordination, but outcomes depend on availability, timing, third-party decisions, student preferences, market conditions, and the terms of the relevant accommodation provider or partner.
StayXchange may update, modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the website, platform, listings, services, forms, Student Card, partner benefits, events, or community features at any time.
StayXchange may also update or remove listings, adjust descriptions, change page structure, modify features, or change the way services are offered.
By using the StayXchange website, browsing listings, submitting forms, contacting StayXchange, applying for the Student Card, using partner benefits, participating in roommate matching, or receiving any StayXchange-related support, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms & Conditions.
